At Beck we strive to create a learning environment that promotes respect, self-awareness and diversity, and that enables children to become confident individuals who appreciate their own worth and that of others. We provide a range of opportunities within a broad and balanced curriculum that enable children to develop a positive attitude towards others and understand the social, cultural traditions of people from diverse backgrounds and appreciate the diversity and richness of other cultures.

At Beck SMSC underpins everything that we do. We recognise that the personal development of the children – spiritually, morally, socially and culturally – plays a significant role in their ability to learn, and to grow into well rounded members of society. SMSC is seen through behaviour around school, the teaching of the curriculum and the experiences that children gain from school and these are evident in the SMSC class books.
